The homestead from which to build a career, begin and raise a family, pursue life's dreams, and achieve personal and professional goals. Our District is an integral part of the Stevens Point area family, and we believe that the opportunities we offer, the people who provide them, and our students who take ahold of them will take you and your children - our students - to heights of achievement.

Thank You, Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3-7, 2021

Teacher Appreciation Week is a time for us to pause, recognize, appreciate and reflect on the important and vital impact educators have on the lives of our students, families and communities. As we begin the homestretch of this school year, we can easily look back and see how significant educators have been in the lives of our students, of their learning and well-being. We have seen all team members from teachers, educational assistants, clerical staff, support services, custodial/maintenance, food service, transportation, and administrators work tirelessly and together under difficult and ever changing circumstances to do what we do best...prepare each student to be successful

We’ve gathered a few ideas of how you can show your appreciation to the educators and school team members that impact our students and community.

    1. Fill out this Thank You Printout to complete and share with someone at your school who has made a difference.
    2. Share this on social media to show your thanks for our local educators and school staff using the hashtag #PointProud.
    3. Record a video of your child saying thank you and send it to their teacher.
    4. Make a shirt with this iron-on Super Teacher design and send it to your child’s teacher to remind them of how much of a hero they are.
    5. Donate a book to your teacher’s classroom library.
    6. Create a word cloud poster to share how much school staff members do for their students each day.
    7. Share this video from Edutopia that commemorates just how much teachers have done for students over the past year and a half.
    8. Gift a small plant and include a note sharing examples of how your child has ‘grown’ during the year.
    9. Have your child write a poem sharing what they are thankful for at school.
    10. Send an e-card to share your appreciation and remember, no matter how you choose to say thank you, it will be appreciated!!

  • Our District consists of nine Elementary Schools, two Junior High Schools, one Senior High School, and our specialized schools (Point of Discovery School, Charles Fernandez Center, Boston School Forest and Online Learning Center), and an exceptionally strong 4K program. Our students receive a comprehensive K-12 education and achieve at high levels because of a highly talented and dedicated faculty and staff; several unique programs; strong community partnerships; strong leadership at Board and Administrative levels; and a loyal, committed, and supportive community. It is for these reasons, and mostly because of our greatest assets - our students - that Stevens Point is one of Wisconsin's premiere, public school districts.
