Laura Mielke

Beginning in 2001, I began teaching science at SPASH and have taught Biology, General Chemistry and currently Accelerated Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry. Originally from Michigan, I attended Michigan Technological University in Houghton and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science with Education. I worked in Wausau at what is now the Aspirus Hospital for a few years before obtaining my teaching job at SPASH. I continued to obtain a Master's in Education and enjoy teaching our students all of the exciting things about chemistry!

I have two beautiful daughters that are in 4th and 45h grade and are actively involved in basketball,softball and occasionally downhill skiing/snowboarding. Additionally, we have a Bugg (hybrid of Boston Terrier and Pug) named Mac that keeps us very entertained.
