What Happens in the Health Room?

Do not send students to school who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Should a student begin to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 at school, they will be sent to the office/health room and a health screening will be completed. Based on this screening, your student may be moved to the health isolation room and the parent/guardian will be contacted to pick up the student and informed of the next steps. Sibling of students identified as 'probable' cases will be considered close contacts and also follow return to the classroom protocols for students

Prepare for Disruptions to School Operations

There may be times when classrooms, wings, or entire buildings must be closed for cleaning and sanitizing due to a positive COVID-19 case or related concerns.

There may also be situations when a cohort of students, or students who had close contact with a known positive COVID-19 case, will need to quarantine for 14 days, though traditional classroom learning is able to resume for the general student body.

    Communications

Parents will be contacted by County Health and Human Services if their student has been in close contact with a positive case and the next appropriate steps.

Parents will be informed by the district of closing/reopening timeframes via phone, email, text, and the school and district website.
