We are excited to welcome students and families back for the 2026–27 school year!

As we prepare for the year ahead, the Stevens Point Area Public School District remains focused on helping every student:

That means creating schools where students believe in themselves and their future, know they belong in our classrooms and school communities, and become the learners, leaders, friends, problem-solvers, and contributors they are capable of becoming.

This year, our work will continue to focus on:

• Student learning and support - helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Safe and welcoming schools - creating environments where students feel known, supported, and ready to learn.

• Strong staff support - valuing the people who serve students every day.

• Responsible planning and budget stewardship - making thoughtful decisions that support students now and into the future.

• Clear communication and transparency - helping families and the community stay informed and connected.

Last year, the District made important progress, including reductions in student behaviors and chronic absenteeism, continued strength in math achievement, expanded 4K opportunities, and meaningful cost savings through our program and budget review process.

We also continued important planning through the #PointProud Schools 2040 Task Force, accessibility work, enrollment conversations, and efforts to strengthen communication with families and the community.

We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to a year where students are supported, families feel connected, staff are valued, and our community can continue to be #PointProud.
