Equity Diversity & Inclusion

 The department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) exists to cultivate and sustain committed communities of care within and surrounding the Stevens Point Area School District. We believe students learn best when they are equipped with equitable resources and support in inclusive learning environments within their schools and community. In partnership with students, teachers, support staff, administration, and community members, we implement district-wide programming, policy, and support services by removing institutional and systemic barriers to success, and integrating diverse cultures, heritages, and identities in our classrooms, policies, and practices. Through the new Alliance for Equity & Inclusion, we plan to empower students, work towards closing equity gaps, develop teachers/staff and engage our community.
