Course Descriptions for nationally developed curriculum (not locally developed) that are housed in the Buzz learning platform. Note: Listed Odysseyware (OW) classes are not available under the OLC umbrella.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

If the student is not currently attending Stevens Point Area School District (SPASD) but will soon be attending SPASD as a:

Full-time students and their parents/ guardians will first need to complete these SPASD Full-Time Enrollment Forms.

Part-time students and their parents/ guardians will first need to complete a SPASD Part-Time Enrollment Form. Then email these completed forms to dglodows@pointschools.net

The student reviews the list of available courses and their respective course descriptions.

The student meets with their counselor, case managers and/or family to confirm course selection.

The STUDENT completes an OLC e-application:
APPLY HEREDeadlines to apply: summer school is Friday, May 29 and the fall semester is Monday, August 31.
5. The OLC office will review all applications to determine whether the requested OLC enrollment is the best fit for the student at the given time. Students, family, counselors and other staff members may be contacted with follow-up questions.
6. Accepted applicants will receive an "Acceptance Packet" in their email which includes an OLC Contract (see below) along with further instructions. Students who are not accepted will be notified by email or in-person.
CONTRACT:
Before a student is enrolled in OLC classes, the student and their parent/guardian must complete and return the OLC contract. By doing so, the student agrees to follow the OLC Expectations and Guideline

New Student Orientation:
All students participating in the OLC for the first time must attend a virtual orientation session to discuss the OLC expectations and guidelines and then also complete a very short OLC e-orientation class. Students will be given a brief overview of how they participate in the class, including navigation and submission of their work. Every student has a trial period to check out their respective class. If it is not a good fit, they need to notify the OLC office.
