Mrs. Melissa Schleifer

Welcome to my webpage! I look forward to getting to know you this year.

A little bit about myself: I grew up in southeast Wisconsin, but did my undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. My husband and I lived in northeast Wisconsin for a few years, where I started my teaching career as a third grade teacher. After a year of teaching, we had the opportunity to relocate to Stevens Point for my husband's job. We had both loved the area so much and thought it would be a great place to raise a family! After moving to Plover, I was hired as a first grade teacher in Waupaca. I then moved to fourth grade for a number of years before making the switch to the Stevens Point district. 

I love teaching at Washington! It is a wonderful school community for staff and students and I am lucky to be a part of it. 

My husband and I have enjoyed being back in Point, raising our two daughters, and can now call it home.
