Mrs. Sween

Good morning, afternoon, or morning. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and open the lines of communications with you. My name is Mrs. Erika Sween, and I am very happy to have you as a student or parent of a student in one of my classes. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 2006 with my husband who also has a degree in Broadfield Social Studies and is currently the principal at Mosinee Middle School. We were brought to the area in 2014, due to my husband's job, and we currently live in Kronenwetter with our two daughters, one that was born in 2013 and another in 2016. I have taught in both small (Clintonville) and large districts (Oshkosh) over the years and have had the privilege to teach many different classes in the field of Social Studies from Economics to Geography. Since 2010 my two areas of expertise have become U.S. History and Psychology, which is what I currently at SPASH.  

In order for your student to be successful in this class, I feel it is important for them to understand what is expected in this class, to feel connected to the school, and our class. The class syllabus along with many assignments, extra worksheets, and materials can all be found on my Schoology page. For certain classes, there is also a companion google calendar that students can link to their account. The directions accessing this can also be found on my Schoology page. This web page is only meant to provide you with some information about me since the most up to date materials are accessible on Schoology.

Attending SPASH is a very individual and unique experience. If you or your student is interested in learning more about technology and how it can aid them in their studies, I'm also very interested in how technology can help students. I am happy to sit down with any student and teach them more about this topic or how they can become more involved in the school at a social level. I encourage students to come talk to me about extracurricular opportunities at SPASH as well as I do have experience coaching Varsity and JV Dance and Middle School Volleyball, along with supervising a number of clubs over the years. I sincerely hope that your experience at SPASH is an enjoyable and supportive experience and I'm excited to have you or your student in my class.
