The staff and I would like to welcome you to the P. J. Jacobs Junior High School website.  We have a deep commitment to student success at all levels.  We strive to prepare each student to be successful by providing rigorous and relevant curriculum.  This curriculum strives to address the academic, social and emotional needs of our students in a safe learning environment.  

At each grade level, our curriculum consists of instruction in the four core areas (math, science, English language arts and social studies), grade specific required instruction and elective offerings.  Although we are similiar to a traditional high school structure, we do offer survey courses at various levels while allowing students to concentrate on specific areas of interest in the electives.  This instruction takes place in an eight period day which starts at 7:45 am and concludes at 2:55 pm.  

In addition , P. J. Jacobs Junior High School provides a variety of after-school programs as an excellent way for your child to become involved in our school.  Students can participate in different athletic programs, academic student activities, and leadership organizations or clubs.  

We, as a staff, understand that junior high is a unique time in the life of a student and we want you to know that the staff at our school is dedicated to making these transitional years meaningful, relevant, and a learning opportunity for your student.   Thank you for your support and if you have a question, concern or compliment, please do not hesitate to contact us.
