A Summer Soundtrack: Summer School Ukulele Class

Summer School students are learning how to play the Ukulele!
They’ve learned classics, like "Mary Had a Little Lamb," as well as some new songs, like "I Always Wanted a Brother" from Mufasa: The Lion King movie.
This course is an extension of the skills students gain in the general music classroom throughout the school year. Each week, they are practicing and learning new techniques in:
- Strumming chord patterns
- Playing melodies
- Reading music
- Composing songs
Students work on new songs each week and performance opportunities, like for Kennedy Child Care, are provided to showcase their growth!
