Classroom Impact Awards: Celebrating Educator Excellence

Ten outstanding teachers from across the district made a monumental impact this school year, proven by their students’ results. Thanks to their dedication, these educators led their students to not just meeting, but exceeding target growth goals.

The Classroom Impact Award recipients were surprised by Assistant Superintendent Chris Nyman and Director of Secondary Education Jeff Mlsna with their awards. Please join us in celebrating our 2026 Classroom Impact Award recipients:

Elementary

The following teachers guided their entire classrooms to achieving typical or aggressive growth this year:

  • Elizabeth Bahler – McKinley Elementary, Kindergarten
  • Kacee Chittum – Bannach Elementary, Second Grade
  • Craig Dakins – Bannach Elementary, Third Grade
  • Kim Shuda – Bannach Elementary, Fifth Grade
  • Kari Worzella – Kennedy Elementary, First Grade 

Secondary

The following teachers empowered their students to meet or exceed their target growth. Their classroom data demonstrated significant growth in students reaching their targets, with the majority meeting or exceeding their target growth performance levels over the course of the year.
