Exploring the Great Outdoors at Boston School Forest

The Great Outdoors at Boston School Forest Summer School class is the perfect way for students to step outside, build practical outdoor skills, and connect with nature. During the 10-day session, students spend each day outside!
Today, students learned how to set up and take down tents as well as how to start a fire using a fire striker and laundry lint.
Throughout the course, students canoe at Schmeeckle Reserve, tackle the high ropes course, and learn to identify local plants and animals. By introducing them to a wide variety of activities, the class encourages creativity, play, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the environment.
