Stevens Point Area Senior High to Host Nationally Renowned Speaker Rob Miller of Proactive Coaching on August 13

STEVENS POINT, WI — Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) is proud to announce an exciting, free event featuring nationally recognized motivational speaker and Proactive Coaching partner, Rob Miller, on Wednesday, August 13. Miller will deliver a pair of transformative presentations aimed at empowering student-athletes and guiding parents on how to positively influence athletic experiences.

Miller, a dynamic presenter for Proactive Coaching, brings decades of insight as a former coach, speaker, and thought leader dedicated to shaping character through sports. His sessions consistently resonate with students, parents, and educators alike, thanks to his unique ability to blend personal experience with Proactive Coaching’s core philosophy: intentional character development in athletics.

Date: Wednesday, August 13
Time & Sessions:

• 6:00–7:00 PM: Student-Athlete Session – “Making Choices to Reach Potential”

• 7:00–8:00 PM: Parent Session – “The Role of Parents in Athletics”

Miller’s presentations will explore crucial themes like building trust, making values-driven decisions, and the significant role that supportive adults play in an athlete's success both on and off the field.

“Rob Miller’s voice and vision continue to impact thousands across the country,” said SPASH Athletics & Activities Director David Hauser. “We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students and their families to engage with his message on leadership, responsibility, and the lifelong impact of education-based athletics and the extensive benefits that participation can provide.  The primary objective of education-based athletics is to foster human development and personal growth.”

Proactive Coaching was founded on the principle that coaching goes beyond tactics—it's about building intentional programs that shape character. Since its inception, the organization has worked with schools and athletic programs nationwide, bringing inspirational messages to athletes, coaches, and parents.
