Stevens Point Area Public School District Launches New Podcast to Support Families Navigating Technology and Digital Life

Stevens Point, Wis.— The Stevens Point Area Public School District will launch a new limited-series podcast, Navigating the Digital Playground, on Wednesday, January 28, with new episodes released weekly over six weeks.

The podcast is designed to help families better understand how technology, social media, and digital spaces are shaping students’ experiences, wellbeing, and relationships. Episodes feature conversations with educators, school counselors, and district leaders who work closely with students every day and are seeing firsthand how digital life shows up in schools.

“Families are navigating a digital world that changes constantly, and many are looking for thoughtful, realistic guidance,” said Sarah O’Donnell, Director of Communications for the Stevens Point Area Public School District. “This podcast creates space for honest conversations about what we’re seeing, why it matters, and how families and schools can support students together.”

Across the six-episode series, Navigating the Digital Playground explores topics such as student wellbeing, social media influence, online habits, and the role adults play in helping children develop healthy relationships with technology. The series emphasizes awareness, communication, and partnership, rather than fear-based messaging or one-size-fits-all solutions.

New episodes will be released weekly, beginning January 28, and will be available on major podcast platforms.
