Stevens Point Schools Launch Year Two of 'In The Digital Age' Series

The Stevens Point Area Public School District is proud to launch the second year of its In The Digital Age series in continued partnership with the Stevens Point Police Department. The first event of the 2025–26 series will take place on Wednesday, September 17, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the SPASH Library. This session will focus on current online safety concerns facing today’s students.

The digital world changes rapidly, bringing new concerns such as cyberbullying, sextortion, and the misuse of AI. This session aims to equip families and trusted adults with timely information and strategies to keep children safe, both online and in everyday environments.

Event Details:

• What: Empowering Parents in the Digital Age | Navigating Social Media Risks

• When: Wednesday, September 17, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

• Where: SPASH Library, Stevens Point Area Senior High School

• Cost: Free and open to the public (refreshments provided)

Leading this session, the Stevens Point Police Department and SPAPSD staff will examine current trends, address real-world concerns, and outline strategies for preventing online harm. A Q&A session will follow, encouraging attendees to voice questions and gain insight into local efforts.
