Stevens Point Schools to Host Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age:
Combating Sextortion and Cyberbullying

The Stevens Point Area Public School District is proud to collaborate once again with the Stevens Point Police Department to present the fourth event in our ongoing series, "Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age," focused on online safety and strategies to protect children in today’s digital world. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the SPASH Library.

In an age where online interactions and social media significantly impact students’ lives, families are navigating new challenges to ensure their children’s safety, both online and at school. This session, presented by the Stevens Point Police Department will include in-depth and impactful information on the evolving landscape of cyberbullying and sextortion prevention.

Event Details:

  • What: Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age | Combating Sextortion and Cyberbullying
  • When: Wednesday, April 16, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: SPASH Library, Stevens Point Area Senior High School
  • Cost: Free and open to the public (refreshments provided)

This event aims to provide families with an in-depth understanding of the issues of sextortion and cyberbullying. Providing relevant and actionable information, this session will address these challenges by equipping families with needed knowledge and strategies. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, offering an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and gain valuable perspectives on these critical issues.

We encourage all families to join us for this important conversation as we work together to create a safe, supportive environment for every student.
