Stevens Point Schools to Host Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age:
School Safety & Bullying Insights
The Stevens Point Area Public School District is proud to be joined by the Stevens Point Police Department to present the fourth event in our ongoing series, "Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age," focused on online safety and strategies to protect children in today’s digital world. This event will take place on Wednesday, March 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the SPASH Library.
As online interactions and social media play an increasing role in students’ lives, families face new challenges in ensuring their children’s safety both online and at school. This session will include an update on school safety within the District, detailed data on decreased behaviors at our secondary sites, and a Character Strong bullying lesson.
Event Details:
- What: Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age | SPAPSD School Safety & Bullying Insights
- When: Wednesday, March 5, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
- Where: SPASH Library, Stevens Point Area Senior High School
- Cost: Free and open to the public (refreshments provided)
This engaging and informative event will highlight the District's efforts to address bullying, foster safe learning environments for all students, and equip families with the tools they need to create an environment of empathy, open communication, and support at home to empower their children to stand strong against bullying. Parents and guardians will gain insights into specific strategies and programs the District employs to combat bullying both online and in our schools.
The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, offering an opportunity for families to ask questions and gain valuable perspectives on how we educate and support students on this critical issue.
We encourage all families to join us for this important conversation as we work together to create a safe, supportive environment for every student.
