Stevens Point Schools to Host Third Online Safety Event for Parents

The Stevens Point Area Public School District is proud to partner with the Stevens Point Police Department (SPPD) to present the third event in our ongoing series, "Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age," focused on online safety and strategies to protect children in today’s digital world. This event will take place on Wednesday, December 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the SPASH Library.

As online interactions and social media play an increasing role in students’ lives, families face new challenges in ensuring their children’s safety both online and at school. This session will include an introduction to SPPD school resource officers, fostering a greater sense of community and security for families within our schools.

Event Details:

  • What: Addressing Bullying in the Digital Age
  • When: Wednesday, December 11, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: SPASH Library, Stevens Point Area Senior High School
  • Cost: Free and open to the public (snacks and drinks provided)

This engaging and informative event will highlight the District's efforts to address bullying, foster safe environments for all students, and equip families with the tools they need to navigate online safety concerns. Parents and guardians will gain insights into specific strategies and programs the District employs to combat bullying both online and in our schools.

The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, offering an opportunity for families to ask questions and gain valuable perspectives on how we educate and support students on this critical issue.

We encourage all families to join us for this important conversation as we work together to create a safe, supportive environment for every student.
