Your Guide to the Start of the New 2026-27 School Year!

The start of the 2026-2027 school year is right around the corner!

To help your family navigate the excitement, here is a breakdown of Registration Week, Orientation Day, and Back-to-School Night at SPASH!

Registration Week

• What: This event involves a two-step process: annual online setup followed by in-person registration.

  • The annual online registration consists of verifying student information, signing important documents (student handbook, code of conduct, participation agreement), completing health forms, and managing food service and student fees. 

  • The in-person registration day you'll want to come ready to get your ID photo taken, grab your upcoming school year schedules, get parking passes, and more! 

• Who: All SPASH students and their parents or guardians.

• When: An email with specific time slots will be sent to families around the first week of August — Stay tuned!

  • Tuesday, August 18, 2026: Last names A through K

  • Wednesday, August 19, 2026: Last names L through Z

  • Thursday, August 20, 2026: Make-up registration

• Where: SPASH Lower Commons. Please park in the student lot and enter through door 29 near the field house.

Orientation Day

• What: A dedicated transition day designed to help incoming 10th graders and new transfer students get comfortable at SPASH before the rest of the student body arrives.

• Who: Incoming 10th graders and students brand new to SPASH. 

• When: August 31, 2026

• What to expect: Get introduced to your new daily routines in a low-pressure setting.

  • Walk through your daily class schedule and practice locker combinations.

  • Meet SPASH teachers, school counselors, and administrators.

  • Get familiar with the building layout, commons areas, etc.

SPASH Back-to-School Night

• What: An open house event where families visit SPASH to meet teachers and explore the learning environment.

• Who: All SPASH students and their family members.

• When: September 8, 2026, at 6:00-8:00 p.m.

• What to expect:

  • Follow a condensed version of your student’s schedule to visit each classroom.

  • Hear directly from teachers regarding course expectations, syllabi, and grading policies.

  • Learn how to stay connected with teachers and track student progress throughout the semester.
